Natural remedies to remove sun tan
So here are some Natural remedies that might restore back your complexion by lightening up the melanin of your skin.
- Lemon juice and Turmeric Mask
Lemon juice contains citric acid which helps in the removal of the sun tans to a very large extent, it acts as a natural bleach on the skin which cleanses away the dirt and dead skin cells. Turmeric contains Curcumin and Anti Oxidants which helps in the nourishment of skin.
Take a bowl of turmeric powder with a table spoon of lemon juice and water. Mash it properly until it turns out into a paste. Apply the paste on your skin affected by sun tan for atleast 10 minutes and wash it away with warm water. Practice this everyday twice before and after returning from work.
Potato also known as “Aloo” in Hindi contains Vitamin C which is again a good natural bleach for skin. Potato paste is helpful in lightening the melanin on the skin. To apply potato on your skin peel off the skin over potato and boil it in water for around 20-25 minutes. Mash it properly and apply on the sun tan affected skin. Wash it away with warm water after 30 minutes. Do it every day after you return back from work.
- Yogurt and Gram Flour Paste
Yogurt is a natural skin cooler and reduces the sun tan and rashes present on the skin. Gram flour is a natural cleanser. It removes the dead skin cells and keeps the skin young and bright. Take a bowl of gram flour and add some yogurt to it and turn it into a paste. Apply it on the sun tan and wash it away with cold water after 30 minutes. Practice it once in a week for better results.
- Cucumber and Lemon juice mix
Cucumber is a natural skin coolant and soothes the skin from burns. Cucumber also nourishes the skin and keeps it fair and glowing, while lemon on the other hand is a natural bleach and removes the dead skin cells. Take a tablespoon of cucumber juice and Lemon juice and mix them properly into a juice mix. Apply it on the sun tan. Repeat this once in a couple of days after returning back from work.
- Aloe Vera and Milk

Milk on the other hand is the natural brightener of the skin and also helps in the removal of skin wrinkles. Take a tablespoon of milk and it with Aloe Vera gel and apply in on the sun tan. Wash it away with cold water after 30 minutes. Repeat it once in two weeks after getting back from work.
- Sandalwood, Almond and Milk pack
Sandalwood is the traditional substance that has been used by people from a long time for anti aging and tan removal properties. It also glows and brightens the skin. Almond is a good ingredient that helps in maintaining the skin tone and milk is the natural brightener as described above. Take 2 tablespoons of Sandalwood powder and 1 tablespoon of Almond powder and make it into a paste. Apply this paste on the sun tans and wash it away after 30-40 minutes. Repeat this twice a week for better results.
- Saffron, Milk and Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) pack
Saffron is a natural skin brightener and an anti aging agent used since thousands of years as a medicine in the Indian Subcontinent. While Fuller’s Earth also known as the Multani Mitti is the king of the skin care. Take a table spoon of saffron and add it to a half bowl of milk for few hours until the saffron gets soaked in it. Add 2 tablespoons of Fuller’s Earth to it and turn it into a paste and apply it on the skin tan. Wash it away after 15 minutes. Repeat it once in a week for brighter and sun tan free skin.
- Honey and Wheat flour mask
Honey is a natural antioxidant which brightens up the skin and removes the dead skin cells on the skin, while wheat flour on the other hand helps in bringing uniformity in the uneven skin tone. It also removes the wrinkles and dark spots on the skin. Take a tablespoon of honey and add it to 3 tbsp of wheat flour. Apply this paste on the skin and wash it away after 10 minutes. Repeat the same once a day.
